I called the Gaylord and the reservation people didn’t know about the Rally. Myself and a friend were asking for rooms near one another so GWRRA reservation planning didn’t work. They looked it up and took care of the reservations. Next day I got a charge for $171.72 on each room. Their explanation is a Conference Charge that will be deducted on the final bill. But nothing about a refund if you cancel within the 72 hours before arrival. Never had a Conference Charge like this on any Rally before. I wonder if everyone who registers through GWRRA are being charged a partial payment upfront or is this a standard procedure through Gaylord?
